Gordon Warren Larry age 61 of Ithaca, Michigan died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at United Methodist Church Ithaca, MI on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dave Nelson will officiate with burial at Ithaca Cemetery Ithaca, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 and Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Gordon was born in Alma, Michigan on July 12, 1946 the son of Warren and Virginia ( Alverson ) Larry. He resided most of his life in Ithaca, Michigan and graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1964, he then attended Ferris State College and Central Michigan University earning a degree in Business Administration. Gordon married Ruthanne Monroe on July 23, 1966 in Alma, Michigan. Gordon served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Larry's Hardware for years. He was also a pilot and a member of the the Experimental Aircraft Association. Gordon enjoyed golfing on the Gratiot County Club Monday League. He loved Volkswagens and his Austin-Healey. Gordon was a member of United Methodist Church, Ithaca, MI. He was Past President of the Ithaca Jaycees, Past President of the Ithaca Rotary, a member of Ithaca DDA, Gratiot Ag Society, Ducks Unlimited, Ithaca Person of the Year 1988, and served with the Ithaca Fire Department for 32 years, including serving as chief for many years. He was also a member of the Alma Elks Lodge #1400, served as president of MRHA and served on the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife Ruthanne Larry of Ithaca, MI, 1 son Jeff & Shawn Larry of Ithaca, MI, 1 daughter Jody Larry of Auburn Hills, MI, 3 grandchildren; Garr, Tianna, & Morgan, 1 great grandchild Gavin, parents Warren & Virginia Larry of Ithaca, MI, 1 sister Gretchen & Scott Carter of California.

Memorials may be made to Ithaca Fire Department. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
