Gordon Smith

Gordon James Smith age 70 of Vestaburg, Michigan formerly of Ithaca, Michigan died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville, Michigan.

There will be no Funeral Services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 4-8 P.M at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI.

Gordon was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on September 18, 1937 the son of Harold and Freida ( Pollock ) Smith. He resided most of his life in Ithaca, Michigan and attended Ithaca Schools. He was a truck driver & heavy equipment operator. Gordon was a conservationist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building blue bird houses. Gordon was an Elf Kalhif, and a 32nd Degree Mason of the F&AM of Alma, as well as a member of Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever.

He is survived by 5 children; Tammy & Dave Wilcox of Sidney, MI, Andy Smith of Kentucky, Jodie & Tom Gittus of Vestaburg, MI, Julie Losee of Stanton, MI, Heather Smith of Mulliken, MI, companion & friend Sharen Clark of Ithaca, MI, 6 grandchildren; Seth, Hayden, Katie, Spencer, Joshua, & Cody, 2 sisters; Shirley & Bud Johnston of Vestaburg, MI, Brenda Kelley of Flordia, 1 brother Terry & Koreen Smith of Riverdale, MI, and his family Nubbybutts AKC Miniature Schnauzers. He is predeceased by his parents, and brother Brad.

The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
