Gordon Lonnie McCullough

Gordon Lonnie McCullough, age 75, of Elsie, MI, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, MI, on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Chuck Emmert - Minister officiating. Burial will take place at Duplain Township Cemetery St. Johns, MI.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI.

Lonnie was born in Owosso, MI on April 6, 1944, the son of Gordon Lyons and Dora Avis (Crane) McCullough. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1962. On May 9, 1964 he married Janice Ann Thornton at the Duplain Church of Christ. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Lonnie retired from United Parcel Service as a truck driver.  After retirement, he worked at Smith Family Funeral Homes for many years. Lonnie enjoyed the University of Michigan football and having coffee with his friends in the morning. He was a member of Duplain Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Janice McCullough of Elsie, MI; 2 sons: Kirk and Tonya McCullough of Petoskey, MI; Darrin and Sara McCullough of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren: Trenton McCullough of Petoskey, MI; KaLyn McCullough of Petoskey, MI; Lyle-Olivia McCullough of  Mooresville, NC; Lyncoln McCullough of Mooresville, NC; and Elsie McCullough of Mooresville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Curtis Lynn, 2 sisters: Dixie Clark, and Becky Chatham and 1 brother Gene McCullough.
