Gretchen T. Boog age 71 of Bannister, Michigan died Monday, July 4, 2005 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Bannister United Methodist Church Bannister, MI. Rev. Diane Gordon will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Gretchen was born in Brunswick, Maine on February 1, 1934 the daughter of Curtis Roland and Mildred ( Hooper ) Trott. She graduated from Morse High School in Bath, Maine and resided most of her life in Bannister, Michigan. Gretchen married Harold D. Boog on October 6, 1956 in Bath, Maine. She was a homemaker and she was very good at it. She attended Bannister United Methodist Church and she was a Reach to Recovery volunteer. She would visit other people with the same illness as herself.

She is survived by her husband Harold D. Boog of Bannister, MI, 2 sons; Harold M. Boog & Ariadne Rodriquez of Ann Arbor, MI, Samuel David Boog of Elsie, MI, 2 daughters; Judith Teresa & Tom Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI, Sandra Ellen & Doug Parks of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren; Andrea & Alexander Boog of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Ariana Rastelli of Ann Arbor, MI, Stephen, Sarah, Jonathan, & David Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI, Timothy, & Benjamin Parks of Balimore, MD, sister Judith S. Powell of Valley Station, KY, brother Samuel & Barbara Trott of Bath, ME, and friend Sheryl Graham of Mt. Pleasant, MI. She was predeceased by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Gratiot Area Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
