H. Robinette "Robin" Rice, age 78, of Flint, MI died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Woodside Church, Flint MI. Rev. Dr. Deborah Kohler will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI.

Robin was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 1, 1930, the daughter of Robert E. Lee and Henrietta (Vollbrecht) Johnson. She graduated from the University of Dayton, OH with a bachelor's in Medical Technology, and resided most of her life in Flint. Robin married Dr. Alan K. Rice on June 15, 1957 in Ann Arbor, MI. Robin loved sailing and sewing and she was an avid reader. She was a member of Woodside Church in Flint, MI were she sang in the choir, was a member of the chime choir, and volunteered in the church office. Family was very important to her. Robin was a member of the Bay City Yacht Club, and the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Alan Rice of Flint, MI, son Robert and Bethany Rice of Marion, OH, 2 daughters; Carol Rice of Grand Forks, ND, Laura Fletcher of Flint, MI, son-in-law David Fletcher of Flint, MI, and 2 grandsons; Richard Rice of Columbus, OH, and Lance Rice of Marion, OH. She was predeceased by her parents, son Charles Rice on December 31, 1982 and sister Nancy Johnson.
