Hafford Walters

Hafford "Kelly" Walters, age 80, of Corunna, MI died June 20, 2012.

Kelly's wishes were to be cremated with a private family interment.

Kelly was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 10, 1932, the son of James Henry and Thilma Belle (Baker) Walters. He married Louila G. Himes on February 2, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, They moved to Corunna in 1968. Kelly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked at General Motors for over 50 years and retired in 2006. Kelly enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, travelling and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louila "Lila" Walters of Corunna, MI; three daughters, Pamela and Joseph Ryan of Fenton, MI, Laurie Walters and Michael Jones of Corunna, MI, Carrie Walters and Paul Wollman, Jr. of Schaumburg, IL; three grandchildren, Daniel, Caila and Jessica; step mother, Mary Walters of Durand, MI; two brothers, James Gary and Joyce Walters of Durand, MI, Richard and Bevelyn Justice of Munford, Tennessee; two sisters, Barbara Driver of Ripley, Mississippi, Ella Mae Comstock Tyler of Gaines, MI; sisters-in-law, Sheila Himes of Corunna, MI and Gwen Calvert of Corunna, MI; many nieces and nephews. In additon to his parents, Kelly was preceded in death by his step father, Winnette Justice and his sister, Marsha Justice. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
