Harold H. Hough, age 93 of Lansing, Michigan passed away Thursday, December 25, 2003 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns, Michigan. He owned & operated Harold Upholstery in Lansing, Michigan starting the business in 1939, and at one time was the largest upholstery business in Mid-Michigan. His family ran it until 1996.
Services will be held January 3, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Community of Christ Church, 1514 W. Miller Road, Lansing, Michigan 48911. Burial has taken place at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Harold was born on August 15, 1910 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Royal and Mary (McNitt) Hough. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1926. On June 12, 1965 he married Myrtie Sayers in Lansing, Michigan. He was a member of Community of Christ Church and resided most of his life in Lansing, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife Myrtie Hough of Lansing, MI, 3 sons, Harold E. & Irma Hough of Lansing, MI, Kenneth & Lana Hough of Dewitt, MI, Kerry & Shirley Hough of Lansing, MI, and 1 daughter, Carolee Barrett of Lansing, MI, 24 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren, 1 stepdaughter, Marilyn & Ray Unger of Maple Rapids, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 stepdaughter.
Memorials may be made to Community of Christ Church in Lansing, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
