Harold Kimmel

Harold L. Kimmel age 82, of Ithaca, MI passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, on Thursday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Jeff Reser officiating.  Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Harold was born in Michigan on August 12, 1935, the son of Archie and Lorena (Mikesell) Kimmel.  He married Carolyn A. Lehner on October 24, 1991 in North Star, MI.

Harold enjoyed farming, 4 wheeling, and being outdoors. In more recent years he liked taking his dog Lil Bit for golf cart rides. He loved the time spent up north and with his family. He attended East Washington United Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Kimmel of Ithaca, MI; son Scott (Tracy) Kimmel of Ithaca, MI; 2 daughters: Connie (Mike) Kimmel of Alma, MI; Rhonda and Bob Neveau of Lansing, MI; step children:  Marlene and Leo Torpey of Elwell, MI; Richard and Emma Brandal of Ithaca, MI; Rhonda Brandal of Elwell, MI; Kim and David Harlow of Ithaca, MI; and Kevin and Betty Brandal of Elwell, MI. He is also survived by grandchildren: Taylor, Austin, Justin, Derek, Adam, Eric, Nicole, James, and Ashleigh, and 4 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tom Kimmel, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
