Harold Martin

Harold E. Martin died April 8, 2009 at the age of 86. Born April 6, 1923 in Westphalia, MI he was the son of Oscar and Philomena (Schafer) Martin and live most of his life in the Fowler and Perrinton areas. He was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, a WWII veteran and a member of the VFW Post #3733. On June 16, 1956 he married Frances J. Lengo and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Louise (Gerald) Rhynard of St. Johns, and Marcella Genesterblum of Fowler, and several nieces and nephews. Harold was also preceded in death by two brothers, Urban and Elmer Martin.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with burial at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, the Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler with a Rosary Service at 3 PM and Vigil Service at 8 PM.
