Harold Slowinski

Harold D. Slowinski age 70 of Elsie, Michigan died on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at, St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with burial taking place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate.
Harold was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 18, 1935 the son of Leo Michael & Margaret Lucille (Sandel) Slowinski. He graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1956. On September 5, 1959 he married Helen M. Bernath at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan, and resided most of his life in Elsie, Michigan. He retired from Midland Ross Corporation in Owosso, Michigan in 1984 after 28 years of service, and was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan.
Harold was a volunteer for the Ovid a�" Elsie Football Program for 37 years. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and feeding & watching birds.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Helen M. Slowinski of Elsie, Michigan, 2 daughters, Theresa & Doug Clark of Holt, Michigan, Mary Jo & Ryan Ackels of St. Johns, Michigan, 2 sons, Mark Slowinski of Elsie, Michigan, Paul & Sandy Slowinski of Ashley, Michigan, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Josh, Courtney, Jacob & Saige, 2 sisters, Onalee Kent of Louisiana, Margaret Ann Bernath of Ovid, Michigan, 1 brother Mike Slowinski of Perrinton, Michigan, many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
