Harold Strieff

Harold Leroy Strieff 75, of Ovid, MI passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Tim Dickenson officiating.  Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery Fairfield Township, MI.   Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Harold was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 6, 1940, the son of Henry and Leora (Mitts) Strieff.  Harold married the love of his life, Brenda Green on April 2, 1966 in Owosso, MI.  Harold was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the U.S. Army.  He retired after 35 years from A.O Smith in Owosso.  He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, going to the races in Owosso, doing puzzles, and collecting hats.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda, son Kevin (Colleen) Strieff of Ovid, MI, daughter Kristi (Bill) Luckhurst of Ovid, MI, 3 grandsons; Richard Fast, Mikel Strieff, Christopher Luckhurst, sisters; Rachell Crane of Owosso, MI and Sandy Rensberry of Clio, MI, brother in law David Green and sister in law Marietta Green as well as several nieces and nephews.  Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brother Walter Strieff, brothers in law; Ed Green, Dr. L. Brent Green, and Marty Rensberry
