Harriett Sanderson

Harriett Celinda Sanderson age 94 of Corunna, Michigan died Friday, June 15, 2007 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Cliff Furness and Pastor Kay Leitelt will officiate with burial at Wilkinson Cemetery Venice Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 4-8 P.M. and Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 2-8 P.M.

Harriett was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 18, 1913 the daughter of Arthur G. and Alice L. ( Johnston ) Matthews. She resided most of her life in Corunna, Michigan and winter months in Zephyrhills, Florida and graduated from Corunna High School with the class of 1930. Harriett married Lloyd Sanderson on Feburay 4, 1932 at her home south of Corunna, Michigan. He died on September 18, 1995. She was a homemaker. She also formerly worked for Woolwortha�(TM)s, Redmonda�(TM)s Manufacturing, and as a seamstress for Knepps Dress Shop for years. Harriett was a member of the N.W. Venice United Methodist Church and a former affiliate of Trinity United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her daughter Mildred & Ronald Smith of Owosso, MI, son Rev. Gary & Caroline Sanderson of Flushing, MI, Grandchildren; Jeffery & Sara Smith of Whitmore Lake, MI, Matthew & Jodi Smith of Caledonia, MI, Marc & Marie Sanderson of Sartell, MN, 3 great granddaughters; Avery Mauray, Jaelyn Addison, & Jenna Lynn Smith, 3 great grandsons; Riley Marc, Grayson George, & Nicholas Lee Sanderson, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband.

Memorials may be made to N.W. Venice United Methodist Church or to the Owosso Community Players. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
