Harry D. Funk, age 78, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held.
Harry was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 17, 1933, the son of Harry and Mildred (Bourlier) Funk. Harry married Marjorie Stimson on June 22, 1957 in Angola, IN and resided most of his life in Flint and Owosso.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harry retired from General Motors working at the Metal Fab plant in Flint. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. Harry was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Funk of Owosso, MI, 4 daughters; Elizabeth Hough of Tawas City, MI, Vicki Funk of Corunna, MI, Eva and Brian Hawkins of Gaines, MI, Heidi Funk and James Blasdell, Jr. of Bancroft, MI, grandchildren; Scottie Mims of Burton, MI, Haylie Hawkins of Gaines, MI, great-grandchildren; Cameron Mims and Madison Mims, and sister Lucille and David Stewart of Northville, MI. Harry was preceded in death by his parents.
