Age 95 of Ithaca, Michigan passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 in Grand Ledge, Michigan. He started working at Fisher Body in early years, and then he worked at Leonard Refinery and Shults Equipment before becoming self-employed as a welder. He liked to repair & build anything. He enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Florida.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel. Pastor David McBride will officiate. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
Harry was born on September 24, 1908 in North Star, Michigan, the son of George Hugh & Maggie (Kerr) Henry. On November 1, 1930, he married Edythe L. Patterson. He was a past member of the Ithaca United Methodist Church, and was a lifelong resident of the Ithaca area. Survivors include his wife, Edythe Henry of Ithaca, a daughter Shari & John Scheibling of Grand Ledge, MI, 2 grandsons, Kurt & Debbie Scheibling of Savannah, GA, and Chris Scheibling of Denver, CO, a great granddaughter Megan Scheibling of Guyton, GA, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a baby daughter Kay, 2 brothers, and a sister.
Memorials may be made to the Ithaca Senior Center or Heartland Hospice 700 W. Ash Street Mason, MI 48854. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, Michigan.
