Harry J. Severn age 73, of Owosso, Michigan passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1588 N. Hickory Road in Owosso at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Services will be immediately followed by burial at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI and on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9-11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Owosso.

Harry was born in Flint, MI on August 9, 1937. He was the son and eldest child of Walter Glenn Severn and Christina (Porter) Severn. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a General Motors retiree.

Harry loved books and music and shared that love with those around him. He was an avid bowler and served on the Bowling Association Board of Owosso for many years. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren and never missed sending a card and gift for birthdays or special occasions. He was an honest man, a person to rely on, always there when needed.

He is survived by his children, Karine (Steve) Szakos, Michael (Julie) Severn, 8 grandchildren, sister Harriet (Raymond) Peel, and brother Walt (Nancy) Severn. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Steven and sister Theresa.

He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
