Heber Earl Fulk, age 91, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.
Heber was born in Nashville, Wisconsin on April 20, 1924, the son of Ernest and Pearl (Berry) Fulk. On December 24, 1952 he married Bethel Case in Shepherd, Michigan; Bethel passed away on January 18, 2005.
Heber was a phenomenal family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, going to all of their school events and hunting with his grandsons. Heber enjoyed gardening, photography, woodworking, painting, traveling, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed camping and boating in a boat he built. Heber could always be counted on to help anyone when they were in need, he led a life of service to others. He was a wonderful guitar player, playing from the age of 6. Heber liked telling stories to anyone he met. Heber enjoyed singing with the Barbershopper's. He was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church St. Louis, MI; where he was also on the board of trustees for more than 25 years. Heber served his country in the United States Army during WW II.
He is survived by his children; Judy and Joseph Durham of West Columbia, SC, Sharon and Dave Bussell of Midland, MI, Denise and Terry Braman of Elwell, MI, Elizabeth and Robert Holtz of Alma, MI, Don and Judy Fulk of St. Louis, MI, Tammie and Kevin Rush of Mason, NH, 29 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Virginia and Bill Duff of Cranden, WI, Betty and Al Moreno of Arlington, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
