Helen (Curtis) Alexander, age 82, of Breckenridge, MI died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Hearts Content Adult Foster Care in Breckenridge, MI.

Helen was born in Wheeler, Michigan on May 30, 1927, the daughter of Clarence and Theo (Hackett) Hall. She was a graduate of Breckenridge High School. Helen married Keith Curtis on December 4, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1979. At the age of 71, she married Dale Alexander; and he also preceded her in death in 2008. Helen resided most of her life in the Wheeler area, and moved to K.P. Lake in Grayling with her second husband Dale, where she enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the wildlife. They were very active in the First Baptist Church in Frederick, MI. She was an avid knitter, gardener, and loved crafts of all kinds. She owned and operated Granny's Sewing, and had worked at the Shoe Repair in Alma. Helen was also a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son Michael and Cheryl Curtis of Pagosa Springs, CO, daughter Cheryl and John Jessup of Breckenridge, MI, 4 grandchildren; Michelle Stewart of Avondale, AZ, Jason Jessup of Howard City, MI, Matthew Jessup of Elwell, MI, and Kyle Jessup of Breckenridge, MI, 2 great grandchildren; Jayme and Dillon. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, granddaughter Angela Curtis, 3 sisters, and a brother.
