Helen E. Little age 90 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of St. Louis, Michigan died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at The Wooden Rocker in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Funeral services will be at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Sam Dunbar will officiate and burial will take place at Wright Cemetery in Gratiot County, Michigan, visitation will be Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Helen was born on March 4, 1915 in Gratiot County, Michigan, the daughter of Elmer A. and Ida May (Russ) Bauer. She had resided most of her life in St .Louis, Michigan and attended Brady School, and St. Louis High School. She married her first husband Melvin "Gene" Drake; and her second husband Ed Wenzel; and her third husband Lyle Little. They all preceded her in death. Helen worked for St. Louis Dry Cleaners for many years and later worked for the 5 & 10 in St. Louis. She loved to bowl, travel, dance, and fish. She also enjoyed crafting, and gardening.
Survivors include, step children, many nieces and nephews and many generations of great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Services 1426 Straits Drive Bay City, MI 48706 or the Wooden Rocker 5785 E. Broadway Mt. Pleasant MI 48858.
