Helen Wood

Helen Barbara Wood passed away on May 16, 2008, at Ingham Medical Center, Lansing in the SICU Unit with complications following surgery. Helen was born on May 31, 1937, in Durand, Michigan to Albert & Barbara Brunelle, both deceased.

She graduated from Durand High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She worked as an occupational health nurse for 35 years, retiring in 1996.

Survivors are her husband, Earl E. Wood, and their cat, Cleopatra of Laingsburg, MI. stepsons; Brent & Laurie Wood of Lapeer, MI and Brian & Sarah Wood of Home, Kansas, one grandchild Zachary.

Memorials for Helen may be made to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.

There will be no viewing and burial will be private at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, Michigan beside her parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
