Henry Bajena

Henry Sylvester Bajena, 91, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in St. Louis, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mount St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Henry was born December 31, 1929 in Alma, MI the son of Stanley and Margaret (Wayda) Bajena. Henry married Sylvia Raye Nelson on May 25, 1957. They were blessed with nearly 64 years of marriage.

Henry's profession and passion was fixing up cars along with his son Scott. His hobby was rebuilding classic automobiles. He was known for his humor and polish "talk". Henry will always be remembered as a jokester. He was a member of the Mount St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Henry was the best dad and grandpa. He devoted his life to his family and cherished every moment of it.

Henry is survived by his wife Sylvia, son H. Scott (Carmen) Bajena, daughter Lori (Dan) Hale, 5 grandchildren: Kyle (Heather) Hale, Amanda (Frank) Bajena, Kaitlin (Mason) Hale, Megan (Calob) Bajena, and Brayden Bajena; 2 great grandchildren: Paisley Hale and Jonah; and sister Victoria Bennett.  Henry was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Margaret Bajena, 2 brothers: John and Anthony Bajena; sister Anne Cater and grandchild Sarah Bajena.
