Henry Besko

Henry Reginald Besko age 91 of St. Johns, Michigan died February 3, 2008 at Hazel I. Findlay Manor, St. Johns, surrounded by his 4 children.

Memorial Services will be held at Grove Bible Church St. Johns, Michigan on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Robert Prange will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, February 8, 2008, 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Henry was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 2, 1916 the son of John & Anna (Ozvat) Besko, Sr. He resided most of his life in in the Ovid and St. Johns Area and graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1934. Henry married Donna B.Sauers on August 7, 1959 in Laingsburg. She passed away November 7, 2007. Henry was a beautician and in 1936 opened his own beauty shop in Ovid. He later was an Inspector at Midland Ross in Owosso. Henry enjoyed bowling, golf, playing softball, and cards. Henry was affiliated with Grove Bible Church, and the Oddfellows in Ovid.

He is survived by 3 daughters; Rita Sodman of Ovid, MI, Teala & John Moon of St. Johns, MI, Sonya & Mark Latz of Elsie, MI, son Dirk & Kay Besko of St. Johns, MI, daughter-in-law Fran Besko of Holt, MI, 2 Step-sons; Monte & Dorie Sauers of Lake Odessa, MI, Dennis & Barbara Sauers of Woodland, MI, step-daughter Toby & Bill Hanson of Wayland, MI, sister-in-law Ludmilla "Mickey" Besko of Ovid, MI, 28 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, totaling 100. He is predeceased by parents, wife, son Bill Besko, son-in-law, Jack Sodman, four brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Wishes of the Family for Hazel I. Findlay Memorial. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
