Henry Kretzschmar

Henry Dean Kretzschmar, age 79, of St. Louis, MI died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Richard Kretzschmar officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Henry was born in St. Louis, Michigan on December 16, 1933, the son of Elmer Clarence and Dorothy Lucille (Hale) Kretzschmar. He attended Davison Country School. Henry was a lifelong resident and farmer of Bethany Township. He enjoyed going to breakfast and coffee with his friends daily. Henry loved his farm, and was proud to have been chosen as Dairy Farm Family of the Year. He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by 2 brothers; Richard and Norma Kretzschmar of Osceola, WI, Jerry and Joanne Kretzschmar of St. Louis, MI, sister Mary Ann and RJ Nye of Edmore, MI, and 5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece Deborah.
