Henry Sheldon age 89 of Ovid, Michigan died August 10, 2006 at Ovid Healthcare Center Ovid, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Larry Smith will officiate with burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery St. Johns, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday August 11, 2006 from 6-9 P.M. and Saturday, August 12, 2006 from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.

Henry was born in Sheridan, Michigan on September 1, 1916 the son of George and Nina ( Mong ) Sheldon. He resided most of his life in St. Johns Area. Henry married Dora Jean McCullough on April 29, 1945. She died October 23, 2003. He served in the U.S. Army, 4th Infantry stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was self employed as a brick layer.

He is survived by his son: Robert & Patsy Sheldon of St. Johns, MI, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Lewis & Pat Sheldon of Elsie, MI, Chuck & Liz Sheldon of Pt. Charlotte, FL, sister Alice & Robert Rick of Queen Creek, AZ, sister-in-law Joyce Sheldon of Elsie, MI, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, 5 brothers; Howard, George, Jim, Al, and Bill and 2 sisters Irene and Sarah.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
