Herbert Fisher

Herbert Raymond Fisher age 77 of St. Johns, MI died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor William Ingersoll will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Herbert was born on December 25, 1928 in Wacusta, MI the son of Mearl and Myrtle ( Bennett ) Fisher.. He attended South Riley Schools and resided most of his life in the Lansing area, until moving to St. Johns 17 years ago. Herbert married Alta Jeanne Cole on February 5, 1974 in Milan, TN. He was a motel owner, Federal Drop Forge Employee, and a professional gambler.

He is survived by his wife Alta Jeanne Fisher St. Johns, MI, 9 children; Grace & Robert King of Lansing, MI, Linda Washington of Jackson, MI, Charmaine & Randy Hull of Lansing, MI, Larry Seeley of Perrinton, MI, Dennis & Mary Seeley of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Debbi Reynolds of Perrinton, MI, Nicole Fisher of St. Johns, MI, Christine & Jim Wineland of Perrinton, MI, Cathy & Douglas Pahl of Battle Creek, MI, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Babe Rogers of Eaton Rapids, MI, Betty Raymer of Las Vegas, NV, and sister in law Arlene Fisher of Austin Town, OH. He is predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers Charles Fisher and William Fisher, and a brother in law James Rogers.
