Herman Sanders

Herman “Ed” Sanders age 48 of Breckenridge, MI passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mike Reeves officiating.  Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ed was born in Garden City, MI on June 16, 1968 the son of Herman Jackson and Easter Virginia (McCoy) Sanders.  He graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1986.  He resided most of his life in the Ithaca area.  Ed married Angie Clark on June 25, 1988 in Breckenridge, MI.

Ed worked at Alma Products for many years and then was an over the road truck driver.  He loved spending time with his FAMILY whether riding his Harley, hunting, fishing or camping up at the Tramper, it was all about FAMILY.  He was passionate about serving in the St. Louis Moose Lodge #1566 where he was currently serving as the Governor.

Ed is survived by his wife of 28 years Angie, children: Brittany (Jamie) McCoy of Clare, Logan (Brooke) Sanders of Ithaca, Misty (Jarred Doolittle) Russell of Lansing, Hanna (Joshua) Moore of Alma; 12 grandchildren:  Kenzie, Bailey, Broc, Raegen, Harper, Hurley, and Baby, Sharlene, Ethan, Emily, Connor and Aaliyah; sister Phyllis (Ernest) Neace, and many nieces and nephews.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Sharlene and Bonnie, and 2 brothers; Eddie and Holland.
