Hildred Hevel

Hildred (Mildred) M. Hevel, age 81 of St. Louis, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Pine River Healthcare Center in St. Louis, Michigan. She was a homemaker and loved to play Bingo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Pastor William Stiles will officiate. Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M.
Hildred (Mildred) was born on January 8, 1922 in Coe Township, Isabella County, Michigan; the daughter of Fred H. and Lola M. (Holmes) Byers. She attended Coe Country School. On September 9, 1947 she married Elmer Wayne Hevel in Angola, Indiana. He passed away in 1974. She resided most of her life in the St. Louis area.
She is survived by 2 sons, Cecil & Anna Byers of St. Louis, MI, Dale & Esther Hevel of Alma, MI, 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Maynard Byers of Alma, MI, Lawrence & Marion Byers of St. Louis, MI, 2 sisters, Lucy Gulick of Alma, MI, and Berneice Jones of Alma, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
