Honey Goble

Honey Patricia Goble, age 71, of Ithaca, MI, died peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI, with her sons at her side.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Michael Goble of Adrian, MI, will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Honey was born in Ypsilanti, MI, on February 24, 1940, the daughter of James Ellis and Geneva (Kubaiko) Green. She graduated from Ypsilanti High School in the class of 1958. She married Dorse "Buck" Dean Goble on April 19, 1957. He passed away on March 12, 1987. Honey resided most of her life in the Milan area. She retired from Pfizer in 1998, where she worked as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ at church, bowling, tennis, shopping, and bargain hunting. Honey loved the beach and spending time with her grandsons. She was a member of Ithaca Baptist Church.

She is survived by her 2 sons; Gregg and Brigitte Goble of Concord, MI, Jim and Monica Goble of Okemos, MI, grandsons; Jamie and Graham Goble of Okemos, MI, brother George Green of North Dakota, sister Tootie and Dale Roth of Harrison, MI, brother John Green of Mississippi, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Shirley and brother Steve.
