Ijinio Zamarripa

Ijinio S. Zamarripa age 86, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 12:00 P.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Elwell, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 11:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.

Ijinio was born in Round Rock, TX on January 11, 1931, the son of Adrian and Toribia (Sabaria) Zamarripa.  Ijinio married Marceline Humm on May 28, 1961 in St. Louis and spent 44 happy years together.  Marceline passed away on October 5, 2005.  Ijinio resided most of his life St. Louis, MI.

Ijinio enjoyed gardening and hunting.  He worked at Michigan Chemical for over 30 years and retired from United Technologies.  Ijinio loved to play Dominos and have dinner with his lady friend Alice.

He is survived by his 3 children; Rebecca and John Kelly of Alma, MI, Sue and Bob McGarry of Shepherd, MI, Jim Zamarripa of St. Louis, MI, 5 grandchildren; Shannon and Dave Kraiger, Bridgett and Jeremy, Scott, Miranda, and Joe, 6 great grandchildren; Cameron, Alexis, Colton, Alivia, Aubrey and Maylin, siblings; Victor and Helen Zamarripa of Round Rock, TX, Linda Perez of Round Rock, TX, and Fidencio Zamarripa of Round Rock, TX.  Ijinio was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 5 brothers, 2 sisters and a half brother.
