Ila Shepard

Ila M. Shepard, age 88 of St. Johns, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 14, 2003 at Ovid Healthcare Center in Ovid. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Rev. Thomas Truby of the Bath United Methodist Church will officiate with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
Ila was born on April 11, 1915 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Ralph Milton and Violet (Wygant) Foulds. She graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing with the Class of 1933. On September 17, 1933 she married Gerald E. Shepard in Lansing, Michigan. He died on November 24, 2002. She was a member of the Bath United Methodist Church and resided most of her life in the Bath area.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Cogswell of Lansing, MI, Mary & Warren Faloon of St. Johns, MI, 2 sons, James & Judy Shepard of Lansing, MI, and Russell & Marja Lee Shepard of Grayling, MI, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter in law, Nancy Shepard, and son in law, Daniel Cogswell.
Memorials may be made to the Bath United Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
