Inez Lorraine Crosby, age 86, of Elwell, MI, went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 22, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI with her family by her side.
Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Vestaburg, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 28, 2025, with Pastor Dan Palmer officiating. Burial will take place at Richland Township Cemetery, Vestaburg, MI. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Inez was born in Copemish, Michigan on August 13, 1938, the daughter of Frederick Henry and Doris Elizabeth (Porter) Valencourt. She graduated from Mesick High School, Mesick, MI with the Class of 1956. On June 24, 1995, Inez married Dean Clarence Crosby at Strickland Baptist Church. Dean passed away on September 6, 2022; they were blessed with 27 years of marriage.
In retirement, Inez and Dean enjoyed traveling all over the continental United States and Alaska. They loved music and attended many jamborees. They were active members of First Baptist Church of Vestaburg.
Inez liked to crochet and made many Afghans and hats for newborns. She was an avid reader and always sent cards to friends and family for every occasion. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, and was very competitive. Most of all, Inez loved her family and spending time together.
She is survived by children: Edward (Betty) Mullin of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Connie (Ron) Kukal of Sheridan, WY; Roger Mullin of Kalkaska, MI; Gary (Mary) Mullin of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Paul Mullin of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Roger (Stephanie) Crosby of Lacey, WA; and Kimberly (Frank) Lopez of LaBelle, FL; eighteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sisters: Lucille (Wally) Humphrey, and Thelma Frees; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, and siblings: Beulah (Ken) Sparling, Clarence Valencourt, Bertha (Wayne) Osborne, Dorothy (Bernie) Baron, and Helen (Don) Lundquist.
