Irene Confer

Irene Mae Confer, age 89, of Dunlap, TN passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at NHC Health Care.

A Graveside Service will be held at West Haven Cemetery on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M., Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate.

Irene was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 12, 1920, the daughter of William and Olive (Hart) Smith. Irene married William E. Confer. He passed away on November 17, 1955. Irene worked for Midwest Abrasive of Owosso for 19 years and worked for Shiawassee Community Mental Health. She resided most of her life in Owosso, spending 12 years in Tennessee.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy and Lyle Johnson of Lillian, AL, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia and son Michael.
