Iris Gregory

Iris "Ruth" Gregory, age 89, of St. Johns died at home Sunday, September 6, 2009. Ruth was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1920 to Frank and Mary Alice (Howick) Robinson in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. Ruth worked as a clerk with the Mid-Michigan District Health Department in Clinton County until her retirement in 1995.

Surviving are her children; Jacqualyn Lehman (Dave) of St. Johns, Cheri (Rich) Boak of St. Johns, Robert Gregory of St. Johns, Richard E. Gregory of Ithaca, Roger (Bonnie) Gregory of St. Johns, and Rob Gregory of St. Johns, 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Fedewa Gregory.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns with the Rev. Hugh Banninga officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Osgood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Meals On Wheels and Senior Meals Program, c/o Tri-County Office On Aging, 201 E. Walker St., St. Johns, MI 48879.
