Isadora "Dora" Ann Daymon, age 88, of Breckenridge, MI passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Free Methodist Church-Living Hope Fellowship on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Dave Jewell officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Isadora was born in St. Louis, Michigan on February 20, 1926, the daughter of Fredrick A. and Mable (Peppers) Jones. She married Gerald L. Daymon on October 20, 1943 in Gratiot County, MI; he preceded her in death on January 20, 1987. Dora was a lifelong resident of the St. Louis and Breckenridge area. She retired in 2004 as a School Crossing Guard at Breckenridge Community Schools after 30 years. In her younger years, she worked at the Park Hotel in St. Louis and Farrells Factory in Mt. Pleasant. Dora loved working with children, and was a Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and making gifts for her family. Dora also loved gardening, canning, and cooking. She was a member of St. Louis Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughter Jeannine and Larry Ames of Blanchard, MI, grandchildren; Aaron Daymon of South Carolina, Coreen Tester of Breckenridge, MI, Kristine and Kenneth LaBo of St. Louis, MI, Loretta Daymon of St. Louis, MI, Lisa and William Terwilliger of Alma, MI, Paul and Lynn Ames of Colorado, Ryan and Jennifer Ames of Weidman, MI, Larry and Angela Ames of Edmore, MI, 22 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Laura Allen of Ithaca, MI, and Ruth Meyers of St. Louis, MI, brother in law Jim Shock of St. Louis, MI, brother in law Dick Daymon of Lansing, MI, and sister in law Doris Jones of Alma, MI. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Duane Daymon, great grandson Ronald Tester II, 3 brothers; Charles, Henry, and Lyle, and 2 infant siblings; Mable and Fredrick.
