Ivah Ellen (Eichorn) Walton age 93 of Ithaca, Michigan died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Ithaca Senior Activity Building from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Ivah?s favorite cakes and coffee will be served. Due to her wishes cremation has taken place. Internment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Emerson Township.

Ivah was born in Emerson Township to William P. & Flossie (Fidler) Eichorn on July 31, 1916. She grew up on the farm in Emerson Township, attended Beebe School and Beebe Methodist Church. While growing up she worked on the farm and in her late teens she worked in Wacousta doing housework. She worked in Ithaca at Redmond Motors and in later years she worked as receptionist at Dr. William Knowle?s office in St. Louis. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Alma Chapter #43 and past member of Women of the Moose, Chapter #1633.

She is survived by niece Joan & David Lowery of Blanchard, MI, nephew William and Linda DeVuyst of Ithaca, MI, great-nephews; Steven & Jeri Lynn, Ian, Mark, and Kevin & Kim VanDePerre, and Kyle, Garrett, Kaleb, Ethan, and Michael & Dori DeVuyst, step-great nieces & nephews, Marcia Wright, Steven Lowery, Bruce Lowery, Brenda Pung & Kelly Lowery and their families, and special cousin Colleen Hall. A special ?thank you? to her best friend/caregiver Beverly Earl. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Walton, brother Gaylon Eichorn, and sisters Leota Eichorn & Sylvia DeVuyst.
