J. June Turner, age 85, of Owosso, MI died Wednesday, November 30th, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, December 3rd at 1:00 P.M. Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ray A. Strawser II officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

June was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 23, 1926, the daughter of Ronald and Betty Jane (Murns) Martin.

She married Paul Turner on May 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1992 after 46 years of marriage.

June lived for her family and friends.

She is survived by

daughter Mary Ann Turner (Ronald Lard) of King George, VA; son Ronald (Patricia Suppes) Turner of Central Lake, MI; granddaughter Kristi Turner of Midland, MI; grandson Scott (Kristin) Turner of Pinckney, MI; great grandson Jacob Turner; brother Douglas Martin of Beaverton, MI; sister Barbara Fuller of Alma, MI; sister Sandra Mead of Owosso, MI; sister Joey (Bob) Kotarak of Atlanta, MI.

In addition to her parents and her husband, June was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Irish and a brother, Robert Martin.

A special loving thanks to those caregivers at Oliver Woods who made Junie's life better and became part of our family.

Memorials may be made to Shiawassee County Association of Retarded Citizens, 1905 W. M-21, Owosso, MI 48867.
