Jack Doak

Jack H. Doak died February 15, 2009 at the age of 79. Born in Lansing on September 21, 1929 the son of Ray and Gertrude (Gardner) Doak. He retired from Oldsmobile after 30 years of service as an Arc Welder, was a member of the U.A.W. #652 and lived in the Dewitt area most of his life. Jack married Beatrice Walker, October 11, 1954 in Dewitt and she preceded him in death on January 31, 1997.

He is survived by one son, Rick (Deb) Doak of Sunfield, daughter, Roxann Buck of Dewitt, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and brother, Robert Doak of Houston, TX. Also preceding him in death are his parents and daughter, Carleta Fleming, granddaughter, Christie Shaffier and loving pet, Misty.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m, Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns, with Pastor Mark Ralph officiating, burial at Dewitt Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Jack's memory to Mid-Michigan Hospice.
