Jack Warren Ford, age 75, of Durand, MI passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jack was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 26, 1934, the son of John and Mary (Lighthill) Ford. He attended Owosso High School and resided most of his life in the Durand and Flint area. Jack married Jeanette Wendling on June 25, 1955 in Owosso, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed by Father Oakes of St Agnes in Flint. Jack worked for General Motors in Flint at the V-8 engine plant and retired in 1991. Jack enjoyed hunting, woodworking, small engine repair, camping, cross words, and reading. Jack was a member of the UAW Local 659.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette Ford of Durand, 10 children; Jane and Mike Forslund of Gould City, MI, Lynnette and Tony Alvarado of Owosso, MI, Karen and Gary Newbegin of Clifford, MI, Teresa and Robert Money of Candler, N.C, Mike Ford of Burton, MI, Cheryl and Frank Phillips of Largo, FL, Kathleen Moore of Texas City, TX, Darin Ford of Owosso, MI, Rebecca and Ronald Cupp of Burton, MI, Allen Snyder of Flint, MI, 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters and 3 brothers. He was predeceased by his parents, one son Michael, one sister and three brothers.
