James Oliver Beck "Peachie" age 68 of St. Johns, Michigan died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Graceland Foster Care Home Holt, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Oa�(TM)Ryan Rickard & Mrs. Paula Wilbourn will officiate with burial at Eureka Cemetery Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. and Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

James was born in St. Johns, Michigan on January 1, 1938 the son of Gaylord and Necia Eva ( Culver ) Beck. He resided most of his life in St. Johns Area and worked as a farmer. He enjoyed steam equipment and attended many shows. He was the Candy Man at Becka�(TM)s Farm Market for many years. He loved to tell stories and talk with people. He enjoyed going deer hunting at the Higgins Lake family cabin.

He is survived by 2 brothers; Dan & Jeanette Beck of Bannister, MI, George Beck of Palms, MI, sister-in-Law: Barbara Beck of St. Johns, MI, and many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and 1 brother Ben.

Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice in his memory. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns, Chapel.
