James Castle Sr

James L. Castle Sr., age 68, of Lennon, MI passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Burial will follow at Newburg Cemetery, Shiawassee County, MI.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 13, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.

James was born in Perry, Michigan on April 16, 1941, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Hollenback) Castle. James resided most of his life in Genesee and Shiawassee counties. He married Kaye Edgeworth on June 26, 1993 in Flushing, MI. James retired from General Motors, Buick Plastics Plant of Flint in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and everything outdoors. James served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Kaye Castle of Lennon, MI, daughter Paula Castle of Birch Run, MI, son James and Diana Castle Jr. of Flushing, MI, daughter Angela Castle of Owosso, MI, step daughter Dorrene and Phillip White of Flint, MI, step daughter Susan Edgeworth of Flint, MI, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Herbert Castle of Lennon, MI, and 2 sisters; Ethel Lovelace of Owosso, MI, and Lillian Ueltsch of Saginaw, MI. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Elizabeth Castle, sister Beatrice Castle, and niece Brenda Castle.
