James Arthur Cooper, Sr.

    James Arthur  Cooper, Sr., age 86, of Owosso, MI, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hazel Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.
    Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
    James was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 6, 1936, the son of Elwyn K. and Elna M. (Walters) Cooper.  James married Carol Ann Curtis on December 12, 1964 and she passed away May 19, 2015.
    Jim was employed for 35 years with the Corunna Public Schools doing maintenance for their transportation department. He was also a lifelong farmer who was busy tinkering and mowing lawn. In 1995 Jim moved into town and he enjoyed walking and being outdoors. He was a member of the Community Radio Watch for 10 years helping to assist with blocking streets for parades, events and traffic accidents in Owosso.
    Jim is survived by his children: James Arthur Cooper Jr. and Wanda Hyatt of Owosso, MI; Debbie Duntley and fiancé Richard Pedlar of Owosso, MI; grandchildren: Michael James Duntley, Nathaniel Max Duntley, Laura Hyatt, Danielle and Trevor Adamski; and his great- grandchildren:  Matthew Churchill, Devin Adamski, and Cameron Adamski.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol , and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Donna Cooper,
