James Arden Foote

     James Arden Foote, age 52, of Alma, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     James was born in Carson City, Michigan on September 8, 1971, the son of David Arden and Susan Kay (Brzak) Foote.
     Jimmy worked as a blackjack dealer at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. He enjoyed Pokémon, rollerblading, walking, and biking. Jimmy was very adventurous and he loved the outdoors. He liked traveling with friends and family or even by himself.
     He is survived by his parents David and Susan Foote of Ashley, MI; sister Tammy and Michael Hanus of Ashley, MI; fiancée Kori Carter of Midland, MI; step-son Aidan Carter, of Midland, MI; and niece Megan Burk of Crystal, MI. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Tony and Dorothy Brzak and John and Marie Foote.
