James Goodman

James N. Goodman, age 52, of Brant, MI passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at his home.

A Funeral Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. with Chaplain Mike Weslock officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday prior to the service from 11-7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

James was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 13, 1960, the son of Arthur and Victoria (Dudock) Goodman. James resided most of his life in Bridgeport, MI and Brant, MI.

He loved deer hunting and fishing. James enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Being with his child & grandchildren was the joy of his life. James was a storm chaser and worked to restore power to areas that were affected by storms. James will be remembered for his warm and giving heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He attended Cornerstone Christian Center Church, Bridgeport, MI.

He is survived by his fiancée Laurie McElhaney of Brant, MI, daughter Heather Goodman of Vernon, MI, grandchildren; Dawson James Troutt and Liam McElhaney, father Arthur and Joann Goodman of Pinconning, MI, mother Victoria Goodman of Bridgeport, MI, sister Nancy and Roland Dowis of Bridgeport, MI, sister Sandy and John Fritzler of Bridgeport, MI, brother Paul and Linda Goodman of Bridgeport, MI. James is also survived by Bert & Peggy Goodman also other special aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, Weezy and many other friends. James was preceded in death by his brother Milo Goodman, grandparents Burt & Lola Goodman also John & Helen Dudock.
