James Kimmel

James Edgar Kimmel, age 51, of Elsie, Michigan died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, St. Johns, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Edwin Snook will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 2 - 8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

James was born in Alma, Michigan on October 1, 1958, the son of Duane and Onalee (O'Boyle) Kimmel. He graduated from Ovid Elsie High School with the class of 1977. On September 26, 1992 he married Gloria Longoria in Elsie, Michigan who survives him. He resided all of his life in the Elsie area and was employed by Ryder Corporation in Lansing, Michigan. Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting, he was a true outdoors man.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Kimmel of Elsie, MI, 2 sons; Joshua SanMiguel of St. Johns, MI. Michael SanMiguel Jr. of St. Johns, MI, his mother Onalee Bowen of Bay City, MI, grandson, Devon Kelly, 3 granddaughters; Alyssa, Isabele, and Evelyn, 4 sisters; Karen Pozenel of Bay City, MI, Ellen Mead of Owosso, MI, Christina Roberts of Bay City, MI, Shelia Kimmel of Oregon, 3 brothers; Jeff & Lupe Kimmel of St. Johns, MI, John Roberts of Florida, and Mike Bigjoe of Washington, 1 sister in law Diane Longoria, 7 brothers in law; Eric & Sheri Longoria of St. Johns, Rick & Patty Longoria of Saginaw, Albert Longoria of St. Johns, Louie & Barb Longoria of St. Johns, Michael & Natalie Longoria of St. Johns, Bill & Terri Peterson of Ovid, Jeff & Sabrina Longoria of Ovid, and several nieces & nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his grandparents, father and 2 brothers in law; Robert Longoria and Greg Pozenel.
