James L. McNeill age 62 of Shepherd, Michigan died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Mid Michigan Medical Center Midland, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Forest Hill Church of Christ, Forest Hill, Michigan on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Craig Hollenbeck and Pastor John Robinson will officiate with burial at Greendale Township Cemetery Midland County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., .
James was born in Alma, MI on May 15, 1944 the son of Herbert Lee and Wanda May ( Curtiss ) McNeill. He resided most of his life in the St. Louis and Shepherd areas and graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1962. He also attended Great Lakes Bible College. James married Carol Ann Hunt on June 5, 1965 at Deerfield Church of Christ in Lapeer, MI. He was currently employed at Contech in Alma for the past 34 years. He enjoyed rollerskating, hunting, fishing and computers. James was a member of Salt River Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Carol Ann McNeill of Shepherd, MI, 5 children Jeffery McNeill of Midland, MI, Melissa McNeill of Greenville, MI, Timothy & Krista McNeill of Lake Isabella, MI, Cathleen McNeill of Shepherd, MI, Curtiss McNeill of Shepherd, MI, 11 foster children, mother Wanda McNeill of Alma, MI, several grandchildren, foster grandchildren & great grandchildren, father-in-law Wilbur Hunt of North Branch, MI, brother David & Patti McNeill of Shepherd, MI, sisters Carolyn Gruetzmacher of Shepherd, MI, Tammy McNeill Marks of Alma, MI, several nieces & nephews, in-laws; Ellen Bates of Lansing, MI, Daryl & Carol Hunt of North Branch, MI, Wayne & Lizz Hunt of North Branch, MI. He is predeceased by his father Herbert McNeill, infant sister Nancy, brother Tommy, foster son Jeff Bingham, mother-in-law Veda Hunt, and brother-in-law David Bates.
