James Parling

James Rodney Parling, age 63, of Ithaca, MI passed away Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jim's home, 521 East South Street Ithaca, Michigan 48847 on September 17, 2011, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.

James was born in Alma, Michigan on November 29, 1947, the son of John C and Evelyn May (Kirby) Parling.
Jim graduated from Ithaca High school in 1965. He worked at Redmond Trailer Company. Jim's passion in life was music. He was a member and founder of the band, Curbside Cadillac. They played all over Michigan for many different occasions, including receptions and events.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn May Parling of Ithaca, MI; 2 brothers, Gary Parling of Ithaca, MI; Tom Parling of Detour, MI; niece Melissa Parling and her children Allyson, Jacob, James all of Lansing, MI; Jim is also survived by many aunts & uncles.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, John C. Parling.
