James Spade,Sr.

James T. Spade, Sr. passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on May 1, 2012, at the age of 77. Born September 29, 1934, in Lansing, Michigan. He was the son of George and Kadeilia (Demond) Spade. James married Clara Ross on December 12, 1958, in Lansing. Clara preceded him in death on October 6, 2006.

James is survived by his children, Georgia (Gary) Sanders of Middleton, George Thomas (Kathy) Spade, II. of St. Johns, Gail Stallkamp of Mt. Pleasant, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one brother, David Spade of Lansing as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Clara, one son, James Spade, Jr., and two sisters, Kadeilia Whipple and Judy Bywater.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, May 4, 2012 at Hope Bible Baptist Church in Maple Rapids with Pastor Steven Lang officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Bible Baptist Church.

The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
