James C. Stewart Jr., age 66, of Owosso, MI passed Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare Center, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2010 from 6-8 PM and on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
James was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 31, 1943, the son of James and Donna (Kendell) Stewart. James resided most of his life in Corunna and Owosso. James married his wife of almost 42 years Terry Rathbun on October 4, 1969 in Corunna, MI. James retired from General Motors Buick Plant in 2000. His family was a very important part of his life. James enjoyed puzzle books and taking photographs. He and Terry were always together and shared a special life together. James loved his pets.
He is survived by his wife Terry Stewart of Owosso, MI, daughter Kathy and Robert Warner of Owosso, MI, son Mark and Kristal Stewart of Bluff City, TN, 4 grandchildren; Dylan and Cassie Warner, Kyle and Kaitlyn Stewart, brother Dr. Ralph Stewart of Arizona, sister Virginia and Jack Kertzchmar of Morganton, NC, father-in-law Cyrus Rathbun of Owosso, MI, sister-in-law Kathy and Bill Harris of Owosso, MI. James is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many special friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and sister-in-law Linda.
