James Brian Vogt

     James Brian "Jimbo" Vogt, age 56, of Bannister, Michigan, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, Michigan with his family by his side.
     A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held March 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Bannister Bar & Grill, 219 E. Main St., Bannister, MI.
     James was born in Cadillac, Michigan on July 23, 1968, the son of Zane A. and Phyllis Ann (Beerens) Vogt. He graduated from Cadillac High School with the Class of 1986. He worked for Wal-Mart in Michigan and Indiana for over thirty years.
     Jimbo was an avid hunter who always looked forward to his favorite holiday, Opening Day of deer season. He was a skilled craftsman and flipped many houses. He enjoyed camping, sitting around the campfire, and listening to music. One of his favorite memories was when he and his sister Deanna took an extended road trip across Canada and Alaska following his high school graduation. He loved BBQ chicken, The Chicago Bears, The Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his family. Jimbo loved his family, always had a smile, and enjoyed making others laugh.
     He is survived by his mother Phyllis Vogt, his brother Dennis (Cyndy) Vogt, his brother Keith (Amber) Vogt, brother-in-law Gary (Elaine) Binder, eight nieces and nephews: Andy (Lindsey), Sarah (Zack), Josh, Alex (Alyssa), Bradlee, Scott (Monica), Eric, and William; and nine great nieces and nephews: including: Isabelle, Payton, Bella, and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his father Zane Vogt, and his sister Deanna Binder.
