James Watt

James R. Watt, age 91, of Corunna, MI passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Howell, MI. Burial will immediately follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Howell.

James was born in Conde, South Dakota on April 11, 1919, the son of David Archibold and Ellen (Cahalan) Watt. He married Kathryn Gremling in Shelby, OH on February 17, 1947 and she survives him. He served as a Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired as a Construction Maintenance Supervisor for the University of Detroit.

In addition to his wife Kathryn, he is survived by his children; Kathleen and Franz Markel of Holt, MI, Jim and Jeanne Watt of Midland, MI, Margaret and Bill Blackmore of Omer, MI, Timothy and Angie Watt of Waltz, MI, Mary Watt of Corunna, MI, Morgan and Sandy Watt of Fenton, MI, and Pamela and Andy Cooke of Houston, TX, his 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his sons Thomas and John Watt.
