James Wedel

James Richard "Jim" Wedel age 68 of Dewitt, MI, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at The City of DeWitt Cemetery.

James was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 23, 1950, the son of George Frederick and Gladys Mildred (Burke) Wedel. He graduated from DeWitt High School. Jim married Patricia Reichard on January 2, 1981 in Dewitt, MI.

Jim's passion was farming and he was lifelong farmer in Clinton County, MI. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.  Jim loved spending time at the cabin in the U.P.

He is survived by his wife Patty Wedel; sons: Joshua Wedel and Jeffrey Wedel; granddaughter: Jenna Wedel, and brother: George Wedel.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: William Wedel.
